Why are M$ products so "version-conscious"?
I don't know what's going on.(why isn't it boinc_fpops_cumulative?) I switched to Intel compiler and got the same errors.Īs Eric says, it should be related to something with Win98, maybe OpenGL or whatever.(but how about public tried to install Win98 on my vmware, but I seem to have lost older MSDOS boot floppy to install my Win98 "upgrade" version! WinME boot floppy won't work. \\boinc\\build\\se\\seti_boinc\\client\\worker.cpp(232) : error C3861: 'boinc_ops_cumulative': identifier not found, even with argument-dependent lookup \\boinc\\build\\se\\seti_boinc\\client\\worker.cpp(224) : error C3861: 'boinc_ops_cumulative': identifier not found, even with argument-dependent lookup
Now I tried to compile the client with "normal" VC++7.1 to see what code VC++ produces, and got these errors. pdb file also and now I'm looking into this. When I tried this with public some months ago (when I didn't have VC++), my first choise for Windows was cygwin, because I prefer commnadline environment, but it failed.ĭisassembling 4.09 cruncher, I found several sse/sse2 instructions. If someone has the time, they could try compiling under MinGW or cygwin to see if that works. I think the problem might have something to do with OpenGL support under Windows 98. It works fine on similar machines under Linux.
